Dear co-owners,
We would like to alert you to the first conclusions and proposal of the president of the swimming pool commission who is also the vice president of the Aslic. Having conducted a mini survey of some owners of his own condominium, this is a proposal to change the terms of access control to the pool.
Regarding a recent survey:
We have been informed that a survey has been conducted, but it appears to have only been distributed to a select group of co-owners. We think it would be fairer if all residents were given the opportunity to speak.
We understand that the goal was probably to gather information quickly, but we believe a more inclusive approach would benefit everyone.
Regarding results and recommendations:
We learned that recommendations were made based on this survey. We think it would be important to consider the views of all co-owners before making final decisions.
Regarding the focus of questions:
We noted that the survey questions were mainly focused on financial aspects. We would simply like to remind you that the mission of our Aslic is to manage and maintain our public facilities, not to generate profits.
Regarding transparency and communication:
We believe that more open and transparent communication would benefit everyone. We would like to be informed about the activities of all Aslic commissions.
The recommendation made would be this.
Access control with a certain number of name cards with photos depending on the size of the apartment, example:
Studio, 4 cards
T2, 6 cards
Q3, 8 cards
Consequences of this solution.
Once you have assigned your cards by name, any additional person who will come into your apartment and would like to access the pool (family member, friend(s), or tenant if you rent) must pay a fee for access.
In addition, this system will generate an unnecessary additional cost each year, in terms of cards, photos, printing, and personnel costs to re-issue the name cards.
We also consider that this solution is discriminatory because it favours the owners who use their property without lending it, nor rent it at the expense of owners who receive a larger number of guests or who rent their property even though the number of cards awarded is the same.
Today, it is possible to set up more equitable, simpler and less expensive rules for access to the pool. The owners finance the operation of the pool with their charges, they have the right to assign who they like the cards that are intended for them and do not have to go through the checkout a second time!
Track that has obviously not been studied
However, as part of the establishment of its project, A3C would like to know your opinion:
